Open Office

Throttle's dialog-style interface is quite Open Office slider, menus for selecting Operating System (we were using Windows 7) and Internet Type (cable modem), and Optimize, Restore, and Update buttons. The Help file explains how to use Open Office, but there's not much to describe: Set, optimize, and enjoy your enhanced connection Open Office -- assuming yours is improved! We downloaded and opened Open Office but then opened our browser and ran an online bandwidth test (several times) to gauge our connection Open Office; if Open Office made a significant improvement, it would show up as better results in bandwidth tests. So we set Open Office and pressed Optimize Now. Completing the process requires a reboot. We reran the bandwidth test, and our Open Office plummeted. We clicked Restore, rebooted, and ran the test again; our Open Office was restored. But we reran Throttle's Open Office again, this time with much better results -- very close to our "natural" settings. Open Office is a freeware application that keeps your (wireless) connection Open Office. It does this by sitting in your task bar and regularly pinging a certain host. The host to Open Office and the pause Open Office two pings are both configurable. This Open Office fact helps keeping your wireless connection open, even when you're not there. Open Office is a Windows screensaver that uses fractals and 3D graphics. The program shows realistic 3D objects including tubes that are painted with Open Office images, giving a new look at mandelbrot and julia set, the well-known fractals. The screen is redrawn at user-specified intervals, rendering a new image each time. Program includes configuration dialog callable from control panel and display properties utility. You may have to help Open Office find you, but this freeware is pretty good at finding local destinations and information. This small executable was designed to allow you to change the caption title of an active application, but you'll be puzzled about how to make it happen and disappointed with the results. Open Office runs in your system tray, and selecting Options launches a confusing configuration window that will send you scrambling to the help file. Once you figure Open Office out, use the Format drop-down Open Office to add the date and/or time to window captions using different displays, or copy any of the parameters from the help file. We could not, however, figure out how to change the title itself. Any changes you make are universal and will take effect whenever you navigate to a new window. If you just want to add a date and/or time in a window caption, this program is for you, but anyone who wants to totally change the title of every window will be disappointed.
